Photographer, designer and the eye behind Negative Space.
Before weddings, there was fashion: styling in London, then dressing professional athletes in LA. Then a Master's in Fine Art Photography, where I learned the frame matters as much as what's inside it. I've been photographing weddings since 2009, in New York, LA and wherever the destination is.
Through Make Pretty, I customized template after template for creatives. Almost every one started the same way: hiding the sections they didn't need, the image slots they couldn't fill, the details that only made the demo look busy. Eventually I stopped fixing templates and started designing ones that didn't need it. That's Negative Space.
Fine art taught me that the strongest work has a point of view. So each template begins with an artist whose instinct I admire: Bassman's softness, O'Keeffe's scale, Anderson's symmetry. Then it becomes my minimalist interpretation of that idea. You get a design with a perspective, not a trend.
